Suns win 14th consecutive game, keep pace with Warriors in Western Conference

The Phoenix Suns extended their winning streak to 14 games, the longest in the NBA this season, with a 120-115 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. With the win, the Suns (15-3) stayed within one game of the Golden State Warriors for the best record in the Western Conference.

Devin Booker had a game-high 35 points, and the Suns held off the Cavs’ late surge after leading by 10 with seven minutes to go. Tied 109-109, Chris Paul hit a go-ahead jump shot, and Mikal Bridges came up with a key block on defense to keep the Suns ahead for good.

Cleveland had a chance at the game-tying shot trailing 115-112 with 22.6 seconds left, but missed two chances at 3-pointers from Cedi Osman and Ricky Rubio. The Cavs lost their fifth straight game, dropping to 9-10.
