Suns take 3-0 series lead with Game 3 win against Nuggets


The Phoenix Suns are a win away from the Western Conference finals after a 116-102 victory against the Denver Nuggets in Game 3 of their second-round series on Friday night.

Devin Booker scored 28 points, Chris Paul had 27 points and eight assists and the Suns took a 3-0 lead in the series. Game 4 is Sunday in Denver and with a win, the Suns will advance to the conference finals for the first time since 2010.

The Suns extended their lead to as many as 20 points in the fourth quarter after leading 90-76 after three periods.

Denver’s Nikola Jokic received his Most Valuable Player trophy before Game 3 and finished with 32 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists.
