Sunday’s Rainbow 6 Pool At Gulfstream Guaranteed At $1.5 Million

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 pool will be guaranteed at $1.5 million Sunday at Gulfstream Park, where the popular multi-race wager went unsolved for the 21st racing day of the 2019-2020 Championship Meet.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Multiple winning tickets Saturday returned $17,521.30.

There will be a Super Hi-5 carryover of $13,104.28 heading into Sunday’s card.

Who’s Hot: Irad Ortiz Jr., who rode five winners on Friday’s program, came back Saturday to win three races, scoring aboard Quenane ($13) in Race 2 and New Day Dawning ($4.80) in Race 5 and Abundantia winner Jean Elizabeth ($10) in Race 6.

Hall of Famer John Velazquez and Tyler Gaffalione both rode two stakes winners on Saturday’s card. Velazquez scored aboard Tropical Park Derby winner Halladay ($8.60) in Race 9 and Via Borghese upsetter Touriga ($43.80) in Race 10. Gaffalione won aboard Janus victor Extravagant Kid ($4.60) in Race 4 and Tropical Park Oaks winner Our Bay B Ruth ($14.80) in Race 7.
