Sunday Pick 6 At Belmont Bolstered By $57,735 Carryover

Sunday’s Pick 6 at Belmont benefits from Saturday’s carryover.

Sunday’s Pick 6 will be boosted by a $57,735 carryover as the multi-race wager went unsolved on Saturday at Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y.

The $1 Pick 6 returned $916 to bettors who selected 5-of-6 winners correctly.

Saturday’s Pick 6 sequence kicked off in Race 5 when trainer Michelle Nevin and Kendrick Carmouche teamed up to win a seven-furlong turf allowance for New York-bred fillies and mares with Show Me the Honey [No. 4, $14.20].

Trainer Chad Brown earned his fifth victory in the $200,000 Grade 2 Sands Point [Race 6] when Head of Plains Partners homebred Fluffy Socks [No. 7, $10.20] rallied to an impressive score under jockey Joel Rosario.

Apprentice rider Omar Hernandez Moreno piloted Hoopla [No. 5, $5.80] to his second career victory in Race 7 for trainer Bruce Brown.

Brown and Rosario teamed up for victory once more in Race 8 when Gabby Squared [No. 7, $6.00] won by three lengths over the inner turf for a $30,000 tag.

Happy Sophia [No. 5, $30.00] lit up the tote board in the penultimate leg of the sequence under veteran rider Mike Luzzi for trainer Randi Persaud.

Closing out the sequence in Race 10, Three Diamonds Farm’s Lemon Taffy [No. 5, $10.20] made her seventh career start a winning one for trainer Mike Maker.

Featuring a $1 bet minimum and 15 percent takeout, the Pick 6 wager requires bettors to select the first-place finisher of six designated races on the card. A total of 75 percent of the full pool, minus takeout, will be distributed to bettors who select the first-place finisher of all six races. A consolation payout of 25 percent of the net pool will be distributed to tickets selecting 5-of-6 winners.

Sunday’s Pick 6 kicks off in Race 4 at 2:11 p.m. Eastern and includes the $150,000 Floral Park for fillies and mares going six furlongs over the inner turf. First post on the 9-race card is 12:35 p.m.
