Steph Curry on first career buzzer-beater: 'It's about time' I made one

No player in NBA history has hit more three-pointers than Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors has, but somehow the buzzer-beating game-winner he made Friday night was something new for the sharpshooter.

“It’s about time I made one,” Curry said in a postgame interview. “That’s my first one!”

Curry, 33, didn’t have his cleanest night against the Houston Rockets. He made just six of his 21 shot attempts and only four of 13 tries from beyond the arc. But with five seconds left and the game tied 103-103, Curry found space with a step-back and nailed a 20-footer as time expired.

Curry finished with 22 points and 12 assists. The Warriors started the season 18-2, but are just 15-11 since. The win Friday night moved the team to 33-13 on the year. The Rockets fell to 14-33 and still sit in last place in the Western Conference.
