Stakes Winner Giant Run To Enter Stud In Korea

Giant Run, a Grade 3-placed multiple stakes winner, has been exported to Korea to begin his stallion career.

The 7-year-old son of Giant’s Causeway arrived in the country on Jan. 16, per records from the Korea Racing Authority, joining an incoming imported stallion class that also includes Preakness Stakes winner Shackleford, Grade 2 winner Revolutionary, Canadian Horse of the Year Uncaptured, Grade 3-placed J. S. Choice, seven-figure juvenile South Beach, and debut winner Central Command.

Giant Run finished his on-track career with five wins in 22 starts for earnings of $456,540. He did his best work on the turf, winning four stakes races over the grass during his 3-year-old campaign: the Cutler Bay Stakes and at Gulfstream Park, the Manila Stakes at Belmont Park, and the Centaur Stakes at Indiana Grand. Additional accolades included in-the-money efforts in the Grade 3 Palm Beach Stakes and G3 Penn Mile Stakes.

Bred in Maryland by Sycamore Hall Thoroughbreds, Giant Run is out of the Grade 2-winning Polish Numbers mare Who Did It and Run. He is a half-brother to stakes winner American Victory and Grade 3-placed Who’s Cozy.

Grade 2 winner Hangover Kid and Grade 3 winner Surely Royal are in Giant Run’s extended family.
