Meanwhile, Alvaro Morata, who is on loan at Atletico Madrid from Chelsea, was in a good mood as he enjoyed a boat ride.

Morata has one year remaining on his loan deal at Atletico, having endured a frustrating time at Stamford Bridge.

Cesc Fabregas, Morata’s former team-mate at Chelsea, posted a picture of himself relaxing with the caption: ‘Last day of a beautiful summer’.

Fabregas is set to return to training with Monaco on Monday.
