Phil Mickelson is really enjoying his time off from golf, and he’s making sure the whole world knows about it. Earlier in the week, Mickelson flashed a newly-toned figure on the beach that sent the golf world in a frenzy (mostly with jokes at Phil’s expense). But Shirtless Phil is not contained to the beach, he’s relaxing poolside, too.
Mickelson failed to make the field at this week’s Tour Championship, despite capturing his 44th PGA Tour win early in the season at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. That means his season is over, and the 49-year-old golf legend has a lot of time on his hands for R&R. On Friday afternoon, Mickelson shared a new photo of his latest post-season relaxation activity.
This time, Phil is hanging out by the pool and showing off his self-described “ripped” figure while mugging for the camera and holding an expensive bottle of wine.
Phil added some context to the image, writing that while he’d love to be competing in the Tour Championship, “sipping 1985 Haut-Brion poolside while working on my tan and spending time on social media isn’t a bad way to spend the week either.”
