Several injuries reported after suspected ‘chemical agent’ released at Pride event, Baltimore Police say

A “mass exodus” led to numerous injuries after a “possible chemical agent” was released during a Baltimore Pride event Saturday, according to police.

Baltimore Police confirmed Sunday that the incident occurred around 7 p.m. and that the possible chemical agent released in front of the event’s main music stage near North Avenue and Charles Street, was not released by police.

The event was closed as the Baltimore City Fire Department tended to several injuries caused by the crowd.

Police did not say what occurred prior to the chemical agent being released or how many attendees were treated for injuries.
