Scratched From Ohio Derby, Global Campaign To Aim For Jim Dandy

Global Campaign was unable to contest last weekend’s Ohio Derby due to a quarter crack, but according to horseracingnation.com the talented 3-year-old son of Curlin is being aimed at a start in the July 27 Jim Dandy Stakes at Saratoga instead.

“The main thing is, he’s already proven he’s a nice horse,” said co-owner Sagamore Farm’s Hunter Rankin. “When we take him over there in the afternoons, we’ve got to make sure he’s at his best.”

Trained by Stanley Hough, Global Campaign has won three of his four starts including the G3 Peter Pan Stakes over Belmont winner Sir Winston. The colt is co-owned by breeder WinStar Farm.
