ATHENS — Georgia played its annual spring game Saturday, and if we walk down the usual prisoner-of-the-panicked-moments path of some Bulldogs fans, there were times early in the scrimmage that would suggest the 2021 team is destined for the Belk Bowl and coach Kirby Smart was forever cursed to a life of second-tier bowls and transferring quarterbacks when he didn’t call off the regrettable fake punt decision against Alabama.
But there are 140 days until the season opener against Clemson, so there’s plenty of time for doom talk. Breathe, young grasshoppers.
