Saturday's Indiana Pacers-Phoenix Suns game postponed

The Phoenix Suns won’t be returning to action on Saturday.

The NBA confirmed that Saturday’s matchup between the Suns and Indiana Pacers has been postponed because the Suns can’t dress the required league-minimum of eight healthy and available players to compete.

This becomes Phoenix’s third straight game called off due to COVID-19 issues. The Suns were unable to assemble a squad for a contest versus the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday and a Friday showdown with the Golden State Warriors.

Phoenix is next scheduled to play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.

The NBA continues to attempt to play through its current COVID-19 crisis that has resulted in nine postponements since last Sunday. In total, the Association has called off 10 games since the season began on Dec. 22.

It’s not all bad news for the league heading into the weekend, however, as the Boston Celtics are expected to resume play against the Orlando Magic on Friday after missing their past three games because of coronavirus-related setbacks.
