DeShawn Parker guides Gold Pilot to victory in the Jim’s Orbit, one of his four stakes wins on Saturday’s card at Sam Houston
A 10-race card waits for bettors this Saturday at Sam Houston Race Park, where jockey DeShawn Parker will try to keep up his winning ways.
During last Saturday’s Texas Preview Day card, Parker swept all four of the evening’s stakes races, giving him a healthy lead by earnings among the track’s jockey colony and keeping him in the hunt for the meet title by wins.
Trainer Karl Broberg has several horses entered on Saturday with a chance to help him close the gap between him and leading trainer Steve Asmussen.
As usual, multi-race wagers are offered at a 12 percent takeout, and this Saturday’s card will feature Yorkie races in between the horse races.
