Roma are reportedly looking at Maurizio Sarri and Max Allegri as potential candidates to replace current boss Paulo Fonseca.
Pressure continues to mount on Fonseca after Roma spectacularly crashed out of the Coppa Italia to Spezia on Tuesday, in a game that had six goals, two red cards in 30 seconds and a bizarre substitution violation.
The defeat by Spezia capped off a miserable few days for Roma fans, with the result coming just days after they were beaten 3-0 by bitter rivals Lazio in the Rome derby last Friday.

The Giallorossi also find themselves nine points adrift of league leaders AC Milan and reports in Italy claim that a managerial change is being considered.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Allegri and Sarri are the two leading candidates that are being considered for the role with both men currently out of work.
Sarri was sacked by Juventus last summer after winning the Scudetto but his failure to reach the Champions League quarter-finals last season ultimately cost him his job.

Allegri, who was replaced by Sarri at Juventus in 2019, has not managed since leaving the club and has been linked with the managerial hotseats at Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG in recent months but has continued to take time out.
Allegri won five Serie A titles back-to-back during his time at Juve while also dominating the Coppa Italia – winning the cup competition on four different occasions.
Sarri’s resume isn’t as stacked as his compatriot’s but he does have a Serie A title to his name and a Europa League winners’ medal which capped off an underwhelming spell with Chelsea.
Allegri is still yet to win a European trophy as a manager.

The report goes on to claim that Sarri and Allegri are both still contractually tied to Juve and would only be able to take the Roma job on in the summer.
A temporary solution of Walter Mazzarri and Luciano Spalletti is reportedly being considered until July.
Roma are currently fourth in the Serie A and are in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
