Roger Federer vs Steve Johnson start time: What time does Australian Open match start?

Roger Federer begins his latest Grand Slam pursuit against American Steve Johnson. Federer, 38, is a six-time Australian Open champion and leads Johnson 2-0 in their head-to-head meetings.

“I’m excited to play Steve. He’s a good guy. I think with his old-school playing — big forehand, slice backhand, good serve — I think it’s going to be a nice match for me, as well.”

Johnson: “It’s going to be fun, it’s just another challenge ahead.

“He’s probably the best ever to do it.

“I’ve played him a couple of times before, so I will try and take that experience going into Monday and go out there with no fear.”
