While the retired Czech star was doubtful about both Federer and Nadal’s chances, he admitted he thought it was the Swiss player who may only be able to play just “a couple of tournaments”, but even then was doubtful Federer could compete.
The 13-time title winner continued: “It’s not easy at all because one the ball is rolling and you get out of it for a while, and because of injury.
“When you are 25 it’s not so difficult to come back and catch the train again. But in this stage, yeah, let’s see.
“I mean, of course I wish Roger all the best for success for [the] comeback and maybe play a nice couple of tournaments just to finish up the career but [it] will be difficult.”
