Reuben Foster’s first season with the Redskins is over before it started


ASHBURN, Va. — If you blinked late Monday morning, you may have missed Reuben Foster’s first season with the Redskins.

Because it lasted all of three snaps.

According to multiple reports, Foster has suffered a torn ACL and other damage in his left knee just moments into the spring’s first OTA, a non-contact, voluntary, pad-less practice, ending his 2019 season before it started.

Foster got hurt when he stepped on backup guard Tyler Catalina’s foot, torquing his knee. And just like that, the electricity that usually accompanies the season’s first on-field session was sucked right out of Redskins Park.

Coach Jay Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen and a handful of teammates stood over Foster, who pounded his fist on the grass.
