Report: Jazz have 'shut down' teams inquiring about All-Star Donovan Mitchell

The Utah Jazz had another disappointing end to the 2021-22 season, failing to advance past the opening round for the third time in four years.

On July 1, the Jazz traded away three-time all-star Rudy Gobert in a massive deal to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The move indicated that a fire-sale was possibly underway in Utah, and the team’s other three-time all-star, Donovan Mitchell, would be next to be dealt.

However, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Utah has turned away teams inquiring about Mitchell.

“They have shut down any team who’s called about trying to trade for Mitchell,” Wojnarowski said. “The Jazz are committed to moving forward with him as their cornerstone player.”
