I love an Aperol spritz, but it never occurred to me to change it up. Then Reese Witherspoon did it for me by putting a fun fall twist on the classic cocktail — I knew I had to try it immediately. With the addition of apple cider and an apple garnish instead of orange, this fizzy cocktail is now perfectly in line with our fall aesthetic, and we couldn’t be more thankful for it.
The drink is so easy to make. Truly, you couldn’t even mess it up if you tried. Reese didn’t share the exact measurements for her cocktail, so I just basically tweaked an Aperol Spritz recipe and can confirm it was delicious. However, you can easily mess with these measurements to make the ideal cocktail for your personal taste. I went a little heavy on the apple cider, because it’s my favorite fall drink and I wanted to be sure I could taste it. You could easily cut back on that and do more prosecco if you prefer. The important final step of the recipe though is to do a little dance just like Reese did in her video!
