Redskins like Dwayne Haskins, but Ron Rivera mulling other options at quarterback


INDIANAPOLIS — Washington’s new regime isn’t giving anything away. They are playing the ultimate game of smoke and mirrors right now, being aloof about specific points, serious in certain areas that might come as a surprise, and saying “a lot” without actually saying a whole bunch.

The new administration, led by coach Ron Rivera, appears on to be on the same page when it comes to their messaging. Rivera spoke to the media on Wednesday and vice president of player personnel Kyle Smith spoke on Tuesday.

That’s a good sign because it’s easy to say a group is a united front, but so far, this staff has. What may appear to be news might be a red herring. Something meant to get you and other teams looking in the wrong direction, while Washington subtly works on getting its actual desired and intended prize. But it could also seem so far fetched, that the staff is telling you exactly their plan, but no one believes them.
