Redskins’ 2020 roster prediction: How Dwayne Haskins’ growth and Derrius Guice’s injuries change things


Change is coming to Redskins Park.

This isn’t a statement about team president Bruce Allen’s future or the definitive word on interim coach Bill Callahan’s fate. Nothing will be the same by Sunday evening once the Washington Redskins cap their 2019 season.

Considering how this season has played out, that’s a good thing. For some, sweeping changes in the front office would be better. At a minimum, Washington faces a coaching search, an opportunity for boldness. Eventually, the focus shifts to the roster.

Why wait?

I explored the 2020 roster position by position around midseason. Think of all that has changed. Random corners play over Josh Norman. Derrius Guice returned from the injured reserve list only to go back. Dwayne Haskins sputtered, then shined. Steven Sims became an offensive weapon. Ironman Ryan Kerrigan’s streak of consecutive starts ended at 139 because of injury.
