Raptors' Pascal Siakam to miss five months after shoulder surgery

Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam will miss the next five months after undergoing shoulder surgery last week to repair a torn left labrum, the team announced Friday.

The timetable means that Siakam can play again in early November, about two weeks after the NBA opens the 2021-22 season.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury on May 8 against the Memphis Grizzlies and missed the final four games of the season.

Siakam led the Raptors in scoring this season, averaging 21.4 points per game on 45.5% shooting from the field and 29.7% shooting from deep. He also averaged 7.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game and led the Raptors in minutes (2,006) and games started (56).
