Raptors’ Pascal Siakam out at least 5 months after shoulder surgery

Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam will be out for at least five months after undergoing left shoulder surgery last week, the Raptors announced Friday. Siakam, 27, needed to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, the team said.

Siakam will likely not be ready for the beginning of next season which starts on Oct. 19. The forward averaged 21.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game last season.

He missed the Raptors’ last four games — losses to the Clippers, Bulls, Mavericks and Pacers — and was listed as out with a strained left shoulder.

Toronto missed the postseason for the first time since the 2012-13 season and finished with a 27-45 record.

This is a developing story. More to come.
