Rank ’em Thursday: With Dwayne Haskins drafted, the Redskins’ post Super Bowl quarterbacks ranked


When the Redskins signed Landon Collins in March, I ranked all of the safeties who have started a game for the Redskins since Sean Taylor’s tragic death. A lot of you guys enjoyed debating the play of the two-dozen plus safeties who have come and gone as the quest for mainstays at the position waged on. The exercise was fun — there is a sentence I have never typed before — so I have decided to keep the offseason rankings going.

This week I will put the quarterback position under the microscope. Case Keenum was acquired via trade last month and Dwayne Haskins was chosen with the No. 15 overall pick last week. Both expect to start for the Redskins this fall, and if either does that passer will become the 27th signal caller to start a game for Washington since Mark Rypien won the Redskins their last Super Bowl 27 years ago.

Some of the names on this list have long been forgotten. Others were Redskins for a short time before flourishing elsewhere. I didn’t…
