Rank ’em Thursday: Now that Reuben Foster is out, who are the 10 most irreplaceable Redskins?


It took three snaps on the first day of OTA’s before the Redskins lost a key starter for the season with a gruesome injury. Even by the standards of the NFL’s most injury-riddled team over the past two seasons, Reuben Foster’s torn ACL on Tuesday was hard to fathom.

Foster’s loss is going to sting. He brought speed and athleticism, two traits lacking by Redskins linebackers. His presence gave the Redskins defense a chance to take a big step forward. Now he’s gone, and Washington will count on a pair of young linebackers to help replace a vacancy as significant as it was sudden. It’s both unfortunate and a reality that Foster’s injury won’t be the last the Redskins suffer this season.

The devastating setback got me to thinking, who is Washington’s most valuable player to keep healthy? Who are the players that the Redskins would have the most problem losing?
