Rafael Nadal vs Borna Gojo live stream: How to watch Spain vs Croatia Davis Cup clash

Rafael Nadal’s indomitable spirit was again on show as he helped Spain overcome Russia on Tuesday.

After Roberto Bautista Agut lost the opening singles match to Andrey Rublev, Nadal needed to beat Karen Khachanov to force a deciding doubles match.

And in a late evening battle at the Caja Magica, Nadal was spurred on his home fans as he defeated Khachanov 6-3 7-6 (9-7).

Then in the doubles rubber, Marcel Granollers and Feliciano Lopez were too strong for Khachanov and Rublev, winning 6-4 7-6 (7-5) in a match which finished just before 2am local time.

“The atmosphere was amazing,” said Nadal.

“The only negative in my opinion is we are just starting the last match and it’s 12.45am,” Nadal said.

“That means big trouble for us the players and also for the people who have come to the stadium too, because tomorrow is a workday. It makes everything difficult.

“We can win it.”
