Race Track Industry Program Announces Passing Of Associate Coordinator Liz Bracken

It is with great sadness that the Arizona Race Track Industry Program announces the passing of associate coordinator Liz Bracken. Since 2013, RTIP students’ academic careers have been taken to new levels thanks to her knowledge and expertise.

Outside the classroom, Liz was an incredible mentor thanks to her vast knowledge of the industry and her contacts garnered through 16 years at NYRA, culminating as vice president of simulcasting. Her experience at tracks across the country in roles of assistant racing secretary, stakes coordinator, and placing judge helped her guide students to just the right opportunities to fulfill their career goals.

Not only was Liz a natural with the students, but she was an incredible asset to the Program with her leadership during the Symposium and throughout the year. The faculty, staff and students will miss her more than can be expressed.

Liz had returned to her home in Rhode Island where she spent her final days with friends and family.

Her funeral will be held at Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul Church. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
