The American Express in La Quinta, California, is being staged on two courses at PGA West: the Stadium Course and the Nicklaus Tournament Course.
There are no spectators allowed this week due to COVID-19.
The defending champion is Andrew Landry. Eleven of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking, including No. 10 Patrick Cantlay, No. 11 Patrick Reed and No. 12 Brooks Koepka – playing the event for the first time – headline the field.
Total prize money is $6.7 million, with $1.2 million going to the winner.
