PGA Tour players wear ribbons for Texas school shooting victims at Charles Schwab Challenge

On Monday, a shooter entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, located about 80 miles west of San Antonio, and opened fire. Nineteen students and two teachers lost their lives.

On Thursday in Ft. Worth, Texas, the PGA Tour set up an area where players could pick up ribbons to put on their hats, shirts, or wherever they’d like as a way to remember the 21 victims.

“Live, Learn, Love, Lead,” is Robb Elementary’s mission statement, and ‘L.L.L.L’ has been seen throughout the morning written on gloves and yardage books.

Also Thursday, TPC San Antonio posted a message of condolence on social media and announced it’s joining the PGA Tour in support of VictimsFirst, which will assist families of the deceased and survivors.

Here are some photos of players wearing the ribbons at Colonial Country Club during the first round of the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge.
