Pete Davidson, 'SNL' star, slammed by UCF after calling students 'privileged,' 'retards'

The University of Central Florida on Tuesday condemned “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson for using “abusive language” toward students during a stand-up show at the Orlando campus earlier this week.

During his show Monday, Mr. Davidson went on an expletive-filled tirade directed at students who were filming the set with their cellphones, according to a video of the incident.

“I don’t have to be here. I can just give them their money back because I don’t give a f–,” the comedian said. “So, like, whenever somebody else comes to your f–ing town and wants to perform and is exhausted and flies all the way to the middle of f–ing nowhere to do jokes for you little privileged little a—holes, don’t f–ing ruin the show for people who actually want to be here.

“That’s why we’re embarrassing. That’s why the world is going to end in 25 years because you’re all f–ing retarded,” the 25-year-old continued. “Idiots. You should fucking grow up. It says no phones.”

Members of the audience laughed uncomfortably throughout the rant and others jeered, but most just seemed confused.

“Now, I won’t continue,” Mr. Davidson said before pretending to walk off the stage.

“No, I just wanted to scare you,” he said in a brief moment of levity, before warning, “But grow up. Seriously.”

UCF spokesman Mark Schlueb told The Hollywood Reporter that Mr. Davidson did continue the show, but that the comedian’s behavior was unacceptable.

Mr. Davidson’s abusive language, particularly his use of a derogatory slur, is contrary to the University of Central Florida’s values of inclusion and respect for all,” he said. “It’s disappointing that his rant spoiled an event that was meant to welcome students back for the fall semester.”
