Peek Inside the Gorgeous NYC Apartment Taylor Swift References in "Cornelia Street"

Newsflash, Swifties: the apartment Taylor Swift references in her “Cornelia Street” song is actually real, and yes, it’s just as gorgeous as you’d imagine. The 29-year-old singer-songwriter rented the three-story townhouse at 23 Cornelia Street in New York City a few years ago, and although it was formerly on the market with The Corcoran Group, it has since sold for $11.5 million.

Located in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village neighborhood, the not-so-humble abode is straight out of our wildest real estate dreams, boasting a total of eight rooms and five and a half bathrooms. The 5,500-square-foot pad is fit for a princess, with sky-high ceilings, a white marble staircase, and not one but three fireplaces — because why not? A garage makes for the perfect escape from the paparazzi, and there’s a spacious outdoor patio that Taylor directly mentions hanging out on in “Cornelia Street.” Oh, and we almost forgot to mention a very vital detail: there’s a freakin’ indoor pool!

Taylor briefly rented the townhouse between 2016 and 2017 from former Soho House executive David Aldea, who admitted he “really didn’t know” who the artist was before she stopped by for a visit. “She walked in, and I’ll never forget this — she said, ‘Oooh, it’s so crafty,'” the apartment owner told Vulture. “And in Taylor-speak, that means ‘I like everything.’ She was an absolute delight to deal with.”

Ahead, take a look inside Taylor’s dreamy rental apartment, which any Swiftie can stop by next time they happen to be in the Big Apple.
