Patriots’ Jarrett Stidham sidelined by shoulder, back pain: Sources

New England Patriots quarterback Jarrett Stidham has been experiencing pain in his right shoulder and back while throwing the football, sources tell The Athletic. Surgery is a possibility and it’s unclear how much time the third-year quarterback will miss.

Stidham was placed on the physically unable to perform list last week and did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. The fourth-round pick in 2019 is competing with Cam Newton and 2021 first-round pick Mac Jones at quarterback.
