The Florida Panthers have re-signed restricted free-agent forward Sam Bennett to a four-year deal worth $4.4 million annually, a source told The Athletic on Monday.
Bennett, 25, joined the Panthers via trade from the Flames in April and excelled with his new team. He tallied six goals and nine assists in 10 regular-season games and one goal and four assists in five postseason games with Florida, after tallying just four goals and eight assists in 38 appearances with Calgary.
Entering his eighth NHL season, Bennett has 155 points (73 goals, 82 assists in 412 career games.)
