Pair Of Twins Sired By Fury Kapcori Both Make It To The Winner’s Circle

Only one percent of twin pregnancies in Thoroughbreds are carried successfully to term, experts estimate. Those odds didn’t stop the pair of Twin Turbo and Catch Ya Later Bro from making their way into the world on May 8, 2017, and now both have beaten even steeper odds and found their way to the winner’s circle, reports the Daily Racing Form.

Sired by freshman stallion Fury Kapcori and foaled in Florida, the twins are out of the Storm Bird mare Andrea Gail, making them half-brothers to Grade 3 winner and near millionaire Areyoutalkintome. They were bred by Craig Wheeler.

Twin Turbo sold for $25,000 at the OBS June sale to Mike Waters. Trained by Ingrid Mason, the colt broke his maiden at Hawthorne on December 31st for a $25,000 tag.

Catch Ya Later Bro did not go through a public auction, but debuted at the $25,000 level for owner Josie Gump and trainer William Sienkewicz. The colt was second in his first start, but won at second asking on December 27th at Tampa Bay Downs.
