In today’s exciting snack news, Oreo is releasing Olympic-inspired Team USA cookies, and I’d like to direct your attention to the not one, not two, but three layers of cream sandwiched between each one. Made in support of Team USA for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, each cookie is stuffed with red, white, and blue cream to represent the colors of the United States flag. Does this mean I can officially count eating an entire package of Oreos in one sitting as an Olympic sport?
“We can confirm that Team USA OREO cookies will be available this Summer — but that’s not all!” an Oreo representative told POPSUGAR via email. “As a proud sponsor of Team USA, OREO will have even more for fans to enjoy ahead of the 2020 Games, stay tuned!” While it sounds like we’ll have to wait a few months before we can try these colorful treats for ourselves, you can bet we’re already cheering for them to hit the shelves ASAP.
