Oregon State rides 22-point fourth quarter to upset No. 15 Oregon

How does this affect the Pac-12’s CFP chances?

Tyson Alger, Oregon beat writer: The Pac-12’s battle was already uphill. Yes, Oregon and USC were undefeated coming into this weekend. But at No. 15 and No. 18 in the rankings, perfection over the season’s final weeks were needed. USC’s chances evaporated in a canceled game against Colorado. Oregon, the front-running conference favorite, couldn’t find Oregon State running back Jefferson through the fog. The Pac-12 had a good run. And now it’s done.

What did we learn about Oregon?

Alger: Not a whole lot, really. The Ducks came into Friday as a team with a porous defense who turned the ball over too much on offense. For three weeks, Oregon’s offense simply had enough gas in the tank to make up for it. But after playing with fire for half a season, the Ducks got burned in the fog here in Corvallis in the 124th meeting between these teams. This team is filled with talent. It’s also filled with flaws.
