Online Catalog Available For Tattersalls Ascot Breeze Up Sale

A total of 95 precocious, ready to run 2-year-olds have been selected for this year’s renewal of the Tattersalls Ascot Breeze Up Sale, which again features the £100,000 (US$128,923) Ascot Breeze Up Bonus.

There are six 2-year-old races at the Royal Meeting and a 76-day window after the sale, which means the Tattersalls Ascot Breeze Up Sale is ideally positioned for owners and trainers to target the bonus.

Last year’s sale produced four black type 2-year-old winners from only 78 offered lots:

Summer Sands purchased for £85,000 ($109,586) by Cool Silk Partnership/Stroud Coleman BS. Winner of the listed Redcar Two Year Old Trophy and Group 1 placed in the Middle Park Stakes.

Flaming Princess purchased for £60,000 ($77,356) by Cool Silk Partnership/Stroud Coleman BS. Winner of the listed Prix Cavalassur Stakes, Deauville.

Lorelei Rock purchased for £10,000 ($12,892) by Hamish Macauley/Michael O’Callaghan. Winner of the listed Premio Divino, Rome.

Cacciante purchased for £7,000 ($9,025) by Horsepold. Winner of the listed Premio Rumon – Mem. Daniele Porcu, Rome.

This year’s catalog has a strong sire profile which includes progeny by: Acclamation, Bated Breath, Dandy Man, Footstepsinthesand, Holy Roman Emperor, Iffraaj, Kodiac, No Nay Never, Showcasing and Starspangledbanner.

Exciting young sires represented include Cable Bay and Due Diligence, whose first crops of 2-year-olds made a big impression in 2019.

Seventeen 2-year-olds have been cataloged by first season sires including progeny by G1 winners: Awtaad, Belardo, Fascinating Rock, New Bay, Twilight Son and Vadamos.

The ‘breeze’ for the Tattersalls Ascot Breeze Up Sale will take place at Ascot Racecourse on Tuesday, March 31 starting at noon, and the sale will take place at noon on Wednesday, April 1.
