Northview Stallion Station’s Maryland Branch To Host Open House On December 1

Northview Stallion Station’s classic-placed millionaire Irish War Cry, and the rest of the high-powered Maryland roster will be available for inspection on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Chesapeake City.

The most popular first-year stallion in Maryland in 2019 with more than 80 mares bred, Irish War Cry offers breeders a top-class racehorse with great presence, beautiful balance and an impressive physique. A son of the mighty Curlin out of the Polish Numbers mare Irish Sovereign, Irish War Cry won four stakes and earned $1,257,060 while capturing the Grade 2 Holy Bull, G2 Wood Memorial and G3 Pimlico Special, was a game second as the favorite in the Belmont Stakes, and earned five triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures.

The multiple graded stakes-winning millionaire Madefromlucky offers grand looks, a fantastic race record and a pedigree that’s out of this world. He’s a son of two-time champion Lookin At Lucky, sire of 2018 Breeders’ Cup Classic winner and champion dirt male Accelerate. His dam, Home From Oz, is a full sister to preeminent leading sire Tapit, from the family of top-class sires Summer Bird, Rubiano, Relaunch and Glitterman. His first foals arrived this year.

Maryland’s three-time Stallion of the Year Great Notion is well on his way to a fourth title as he leads all Maryland stallions by progeny earnings in 2019 and counts among his runners the remarkable Anna’s Bandit, winner of six stakes in 2019, including the West Virginia Cavada Breeders Classic and Maryland Million Distaff in one week.

Golden Lad, the Mid-Atlantic region’s leading freshman sire, has a fantastic first-crop that includes Maryland Million Lassie winner Hello Beautiful and stakes-placed Laddie Liam and She’smysunshine.

The sire of three stakes horses in his first crop and a $120,000 juvenile sales horse in his second, Bandbox is a young sire with a bright future and numbers on the rise.

Redeemed was the region’s top freshman sire in 2016, top second-crop sire in 2017 and leading third-crop sire in 2018 and ranks among the leaders in 2019.

Enjoy a fall day at beautiful Northview and take advantage of the opportunity to get breeding plans underway. Light fare and refreshments will be available.
