COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nick Fohr (Grand Forks, N.D.), who is completing his second season as a head coach at USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, will serve as head coach of the U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team that will compete in the upcoming 2024 IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship, it was announced today by USA Hockey.
The tournament is set for April 25-May 5 in Espoo and Vantaa, Finland. The U.S. will compete in Group A alongside Finland, Latvia, Norway and Slovakia, and will open tournament play against Slovakia on April 25 at 7:00 a.m. ET. All Team USA games will broadcast live on NHL Network.
Fohr will be joined by assistant coaches Matt Gilroy (North Bellmore, N.Y.), Ryan Bourque (Topsfield, Mass.), David Lassonde (Durham, N.H.) and Mike Hamilton (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.).
