N’Golo Kante has revealed he has rejected opportunities to join Paris Saint-Germain, insisting he is happy at Chelsea.

The Ligue 1 club have reportedly shown interest in the France international over the past few seasons, but he has shown little desire to make the move.

Les Parisiens’ interest in the midfielder piqued when he lifted the World Cup in Russia in 2018, but Kante resisted the offer and eventually signed a five-year deal in November 2018.

PSG have not given up in their pursuit of Kante and are contemplating a summer bid for the 28-year-old, but he says he is settled in London.

‘Sometimes we do not necessarily know where we want to go. But we know what we have. I know I was in Chelsea and I was good there,’ he told Canal Plus.

‘If I did not want to come to PSG it was more a sporting choice. I felt good in London, in the project and I was happy to stay there.’

Kante has won four major club honours since joining Leicester from SC Caen in the summer of 2015, and has since become one of the best box-to-box midfielders in world football.

He won the Premier League with the Foxes in 2016 and with Chelsea the following season. He lifted the FA Cup in 2018 and the Europa League trophy at the end of the 2018/19 season after the Blues beat Arsenal 4-1 in Baku.
