It will certainly be no cake walk for the Los Angeles Rams to repeat as Super Bowl champions in next season, at least judging by their opponents on the 2022 NFL schedule.
The Rams, who kick off the 2022 NFL season against the Bills on Sept. 8, rank first in “strength of schedule” as their 2022 opponents have the best combined record from the 2021 season at 164-125-0, a .567 opposing winning percentage. The NFC and AFC West make up the top portion of this list, given the success both divisions had last season.
The Cardinals (.543), Bengals (.543), Buccaneers (.535) and 49ers/Chiefs (.533) round out the top of the list. As for the teams with the most favorable opponents? That would be the entire NFC East, with the Giants (.465), Eagles (.464), Commanders (.462), Cowboys (.462) all ranking at the very bottom of the list.
Here’s a full list of the “strength of schedule”, in order from most to least difficult. The full schedule was released Thursday night.
