AmaZulu coach Ayanda Dlamini wants to do a deal to sign Orlando Pirates defender Thembela Sikhakhane on a permanent deal.

The 27-year-old former Golden Arrows right-back has spent the past two season on loan with Usuthu.

He signed a new short-term contract to see out the 2019/20 season
that was suspended for over four months as a result of the coronavirus.

Dlamini was reported by KickOff as saying: “Look, we’ve kept Thembela for the remainder of the season.

“Sikhakhane is still contracted with Orlando Pirates, we need to
start those negotiations, but we would like to have him permanently.

“He is a very good player. We will be happy to have him permanently, but that will depend on whether the teams agree on that.”
