The New York Yankees are off to their worst start since 1997 after falling to 5-10 following Sunday’s 4-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
New York’s record is currently the worst in the American League; only the Rockies have a worse record at 4-11 in all of MLB. The Yankees have now lost five in a row, which included the series sweep against the defending AL-champion Rays.
