New Luxurious RV Lasts Two Weeks Off Grid

With travel restrictions still very much in place, many travelers have turned to camping and RVing as a way to appease that sense of wanderlust. Obviously, a lot of people had the same idea, and campgrounds are now crowded. So, finding an off-the-grid destination is becoming important to those seeking a true getaway. But that can mean less-than-desirable accommodations or select locations. That is until Bowlus released their latest luxury travel trailer with the capability of being battery-powered for up to two weeks.

Launched in May, the Endless Highways Performance Edition has the industry’s largest lithium iron phosphate batteries that let you spend up to two weeks off the grid with fully operational appliances. The RV, which still features the same aesthetic from the original 1934 design, also boasts heated floors, skylights, and rapid charging in three to four hours to prolong your adventure more. This marks the first RV with heated floors and life-work solutions that include charging stations/router/WIFI amplifier for personal technology.

“We are incredibly intentional about what we weave into the Bowlus,” Chief Designer and CEO, Geneva Long, told me. “New features and technology only exist to better our owners’ experiences, to allow them to adventure in a way only a Bowlus can. The ease of operation of Bowlus is incomparable to any other RV – it operates as a fully contained land travel experience that you can take anywhere. The Endless Highways Performance Edition is the next generation of all of our aspirations.”

What makes it even more unique is that Bowlus offers two distinctive Bespoke Customization Programs for those looking to add style to their Bowlus Road Chief. With each program, Long works with the customer to personalize their RV from over fifty-six million possible combinations.

“We believe in the freedom of creation. So it makes sense we offer our owners the ability to personalize their Bowlus,” said Long. “Our Bespoke Program starts with an exclusive design consultation with me to customize the interior of their Bowlus from an array of yacht-grade finishes for a Bowlus as unique as you. It is this approach to creativity that makes the Bowlus brand so fresh.”

And, despite its high price tag (starts at $225,000), the product is one that’s growing in interest. Product inquiries are up 4.5 times the average in 2020, and ultra-premium model sales consume 98 percent of all purchases. Plus, purchases by people new to RVing is up 15 percent. And the demand for the winter season delivery is already up 100% in preparation for holiday travel.

“In almost every way, we are the antithesis of the RV industry, who is desperately playing catch up on the creative and innovation we’ve done for over eight years,” said Long. “As we created this category, we completely understand that today’s savvy luxury land travelers are looking for something radically different. Bowlus has long been the leader in ultra comfort and performance, so it is no surprise that it is such a sought after purchase for the ultra-premium RV segment.”
