Nets fans chant 'Kyrie's better' at Kemba Walker during game

After receiving a chorus of boo’s in his return to TD Garden, Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving saw his new fan base support him in a unusual way on Friday.

Nets fans at the Barclays Center chanted “Kyrie’s better” at Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker during his free-throw attempts in the first quarter.

Walker, whom Boston signed this offseason to replace Irving, probably wasn’t expecting that kind of chant from the fans. However, it clearly didn’t impact him at the free-throw line.

Irving hasn’t played for the Nets since Nov. 14 due to a right shoulder impingement, and the team still hasn’t announced when he might return. At least for the time being, he has the fan base in his side for the first time in over a year.
