Nestle debuts new refrigerated snack brand

ARLINGTON, VA. — Nestle USA is introducing a refrigerated snack featuring chocolate and nut butter. Nestle Rallies Nut Butter Bombs are available online and in Hy-Vee stores with increased distribution in coming months.

Varieties include brownie almond butter and salted cashew butter. A third flavor, raspberry peanut butter, will join the lineup early next year. A Nestle Rallies Cashew Nut Butter Bomb has 12 grams of added sugar per 40-gram serving compared to 20 grams of added sugar per 42-gram serving of the leading nut butter chocolate candy, according to the company.

“Between family, work and the stress of their daily lives, consumers are struggling to find opportunities and ways to prioritize themselves throughout the day,” said Michael Darman, innovation manager at Nestle USA. “Seventy-four percent of consumers say ‘treating oneself’ is the main driver of comfort snacking to combat slumps in their busy lifestyles. Eventually, we all need a ‘pick me up.’ Nestle Rallies offers a delicious treat with less added sugar than consumers are used to finding in similar snacks. The indulgence is a grab-and-go option and a fresh, elevated take on a traditional treat.”

A package has a suggested retail price of $2.49, and a box of six packages are available at nestlerallies.com for $19.99.
