The weather has turned here in sunny Los Angeles at the headquarters of the best (only?) NBA Style Power Ranking on the internet. Every year as southern California goes through its version of “winter” we’re reminded of a past life in NYC when every winter would bring on a crushing bout of seasonal depression and how the winter barely registers as a blip when you live here.
It’s amazing what not having to think about layers can do to free the soul. But three years of freedom from seasonal malaise has us wondering what it must be like for NBA players right now as we collectively deal with the fallout from this awful pandemic. NBA players are creatures of ritual and we wonder how it is these guys are coping with this disturbance in how they normally function during the course of a standard season.
