The first round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs is over, except for that pesky series between the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks. Everybody else still around? They either thrived in their respective first-round matchup or they survived it. Either way, the eight teams that move onto the second round of the playoffs are all technically threats to win the championship. But will they?
Let’s take a look at the remaining teams, and see which ones are the biggest threats to win the title? Time to put them in sequential order. Some might even call it a ranking of sorts.
1. Brooklyn Nets | No. 2 seed in the East
Was their first-round win impressive? No, because the Boston Celtics just weren’t equipped to hang with the Nets. Dropping a game to the Celtics was just the latest example of the gentlemen’s sweep in the NBA playoffs.
