MY WARDROBE HQ Teams Up With Harrods To Highlight Circular Fashion At The Fashion Awards 2021

On November 29, MY WARDROBE HQ (MWHQ), the digital platform leading the UK’s fashion rental and resale movement, teamed up with the quintessential British luxury department store Harrods to bring awareness to circular fashion and a sustainable future at The Fashion Awards 2021. Presented by TikTok, the Fashion Awards 2021 was held at London’s Royal Albert Hall in celebration of fashion’s role at the intersection of culture while recognizing the exceptional individuals as well as the brands and businesses that have transformed the possibilities of fashion today.

Fashion designers and new talents were celebrated by a star-studded audience including presenter Billy Porter, Idris Alba who gave a heartfelt speech about the late Virgil Abloh, Demi Moore who presented Designer of the Year award with British sports personality and Olympian gold medalist Tom Daley, and Gabrielle Union who looked stunning in a lime green taffeta gown. The winners, as revealed by The British Fashion Council (BFC) and announced at the Awards evening include Nensi Dojaka (BFC Foundation Award), Kim Jones (Designer of the Year), and Tommy Hilfiger (Outstanding Achievement Award).

The Fashion Awards 2021 is also a great platform used by the British fashion industry to engage consumers to turn the climate crisis into climate action, and inspire the next generation to shop sustainably as a real solution to the fast-fashion crisis.

To help drive the sustainability message, Harrods and MWHQ shone a light on the rental movement during the evening; as guests of Harrods and MWHQ wore dresses on the red carpet and at their table from the brand’s rental edit. Making waves at the arrivals, Romeo Beckham and girlfriend Mia Regan showed up for their debut appearance on the red carpet with Regan looking breathtakingly demure and stylish wearing a rented Proenza Schouler black gown rented from MWHQ.

Other guests who attended the Fashion Awards 2021 in Harrods x MWHQ rented dressed include Zawe Ashton wearing rented Emilia Wickstead, Neelam Gill wearing rented Maticesvski, Sarah Michaela wearing rented rented Monique Lhuillier, Ciinderella Balthazar wearing rented Michael lo Sordo, and Rosa Crespo wearing rented The Attico. To extend the lifespan of these garments, the outfits will be available to rent on the Harrods x MWHQ site after the Awards at inclusive prices, allowing customers to access the red-carpet event wardrobe of their dreams in a more environmentally conscious way.

You can now rent the special red carpet edit from the Fashion Awards 2021 from as well as at the MWHQ space in Harrods.
