Everyone knew the second-year Pelicans power forward was destined for NBA stardom. He was the No. 1 pick in the 2019 draft, the most heralded player to join the league since LeBron James. New Orleanians have been giddy about Zion’s arrival since he asked them to dance on draft night.
But few expected his babe-to-beast transformation to happen with such breathtaking suddenness, less than one full season into his NBA career.
